We are pleased to announce that VEGA, in collaboration with the Yerevan Municipality, L’institut Paris Region, AFD, and Région Île-de-France, is launching a new ecological project aimed at collecting electronic waste.

- Project launch: August 9

- Duration: 3 months

✅The first event will take place on August 9, from 11:00 to 13:00 at Mher Mkrtchyan Square (next to Mergelyan Institute Park), and from 15:00 to 17:00 at Artur Karapetyan Park (next to Shengavit Metro Station).

The goal of the project is to ensure controlled and sorted collection of electronic waste in public areas of Yerevan within a short period of time.

Specially equipped collection points will feature 4 to 5 labeled bins, each assigned to a specific waste type.

Accepted types of electronic waste include:

✅Batteries

✅Mobile phones

✅Kitchen appliances (including microwave ovens)

✅Other small electronic items

Trained staff will be present at each location to assist and oversee the proper sorting and disposal of electronic waste.

We believe that responsible environmental behavior starts with small steps. This initiative is one more step toward a cleaner city and a more conscious society.
